These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Meridian Trace website and application at meridiantrace.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Please read these Terms carefully. They affect your legal rights.
Meridian Trace provides information, tools and support to medical device companies planning and managing international market access. The specific features, markets and support included in your access are as described in your plan or engagement agreement with us.
You may use the Service for your own professional research, planning and business decision-making. You may use information obtained from the Service in your internal business processes, reports, and client deliverables prepared in the ordinary course of your work, provided you comply with the restrictions below.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these restrictions. Where a breach is inadvertent and promptly corrected we will normally raise it with you first.
We welcome good-faith security research. If you believe you have found a vulnerability, report it to inquiries@meridiantrace.com before taking any further action, and do not access, alter, or retain data that is not yours. We will not pursue researchers who follow that process.
Where your plan includes programmatic access to the Service, you may query it automatically from your own applications, and from AI agents or tools you operate, up to the volume and rate limits of your plan. All of the restrictions in Section 2 apply to programmatic access in the same way.
You may cache responses for operational purposes — to avoid repeat requests, to render a report, or to keep a record of what informed a decision. Cached information becomes stale and must not be presented as current beyond 90 days from the as-of date returned with it. You may retain results indefinitely for audit and record-keeping.
Keep any access keys secret. You are responsible for all activity under your keys and should revoke a key immediately if it may have been exposed. Where you publish findings derived from the Service, please attribute Meridian Trace and state the as-of date of the underlying information.
Access to the Service is provided under the plan or engagement agreed with you. The fees, billing cycle, number of users, markets and features included are as set out in that agreement or in your order. Current information is available on our pricing page and on request.
Paid plans renew automatically for successive periods unless cancelled before the renewal date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — we do not provide prorated refunds for partial periods, except where required by applicable law or agreed in writing.
We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. If we increase the price of your current plan, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
Where we provide trial, demonstration, or evaluation access, it is offered at our discretion, may be limited in scope, duration, and features, and may be withdrawn or modified at any time with reasonable notice. Trial access is subject to these Terms in full.
The Service draws on regulatory and market information from the markets it covers, together with information and analysis prepared by Meridian Trace. Some information in the Service is derived, translated, summarized, grouped, or otherwise processed by us rather than reproduced verbatim from an original source; where the Service indicates that, it is our work product and is subject to the same disclaimer below.
We do not guarantee that the information in the Service is complete, current, or free from errors. Original sources are updated on schedules we do not control, and there may be a lag between a change at source and the corresponding change in the Service. Nothing in the Service is regulatory or legal advice. For regulatory submissions, legal proceedings, or other compliance-critical decisions, always verify against the current official source directly.
The Service, including its software, design, and all information, analysis and other work product prepared by Meridian Trace, is owned by or licensed to Meridian Trace and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of the Service to you.
Where information in the Service originates from a third-party source, we do not claim the underlying facts as proprietary. Our selection, compilation, processing, analysis, and presentation of that information in the Service is our own work.
You retain ownership of any data you provide to us (such as your account information and any data you upload). You grant us a limited license to use such data to provide the Service to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
Meridian Trace shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to: loss of profits, loss of business opportunity, decisions made based on inaccurate or incomplete data in the Service, or regulatory consequences arising from reliance on the Service without verification against official sources.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meridian Trace, its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (b) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (c) your infringement of any third-party rights.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at inquiries@meridiantrace.com or through your account settings. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease at the end of your current billing period.
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, are engaged in fraudulent or abusive activity, or where continued access poses a security or legal risk. We will attempt to notify you of any termination by email unless notification is not possible or appropriate in the circumstances.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where practicable. We are not liable to you or any third party for modifications, suspensions, or discontinuation of the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email and by posting the updated Terms on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Massachusetts.
We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating formal proceedings. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Meridian Trace regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
